Test Pattern

The test process for TCS Smart Hiring is facilitated by TCS iON, requiring candidates to appear in person for the examination. The assessment spans 120 minutes, strategically divided into three sections:

  1. Numerical Ability
  2. Verbal Ability
  3. Reasoning Ability

Qualifications Required

Eligibility extends to full-time graduates from BCA, B.Sc (IT, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Biochemistry), and B.Voc in CS/IT from the Batch of 2023 and 2024. The minimum aggregate (across all subjects and semesters) must be 50% or above, or an equivalent CGPA, in ‘Class 10th, Class 12th, Diploma (if applicable), and Graduation,’ which includes successful completion of the final year/semester.

Students from the Batch of 2023 & 2024 are eligible, with specific requirements outlined for backlogs and gaps in education:

Backlogs

  • Batch of 2023: No backlogs at the time of the TCS Selection process. Completion of the course should occur within the stipulated duration.
  • Batch of 2024: One active backlog is permitted during the TCS selection process. However, clearing the course within the stipulated time is mandatory for eligibility.

Gap/Break in Education

Mandatory disclosure of gaps in education is required in the TCS application form. The overall academic gap should not exceed 24 months until the highest qualification, with relevant document proof checked during the selection process.

Extended Education

It is mandatory to complete the course within the stipulated time, without any backlogs, for eligibility.

Course Types

Only full-time courses are considered; part-time/correspondence courses are not entertained. Candidates completing their Secondary and/or Senior Secondary courses from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) are also eligible, provided other courses are full-time.

Age

With a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum age of 28 years, candidates are encouraged to apply.

Work Experience

While the role targets entry-level requirements, candidates with prior work experience must declare it in the TCS application form. Documentation supporting their experience is also required during the TCS selection process.
