What You Will Work On

This role focuses on real-world Android development with end-to-end exposure across features, performance, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin
Understand and work with the existing app architecture and codebase
Design, implement, and test new features and enhancements
Integrate backend APIs in collaboration with server-side teams
Participate in code reviews and follow best engineering practices
Debug and resolve performance and functional issues
Stay updated with the latest Android tools, frameworks, and trends
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers
Suggest improvements to enhance user experience and app performance
Support maintenance and enhancement of existing features

Skills and Qualifications Required

Swiggy is looking for candidates who are strong in Android fundamentals and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
A master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in Kotlin
Good understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and XML
Experience with Coroutines for asynchronous programming
Knowledge of Android architecture components like MVVM, LiveData,and Room
Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, or Proto formats
Experience with Git and basic CI tools like Jenkins
Understanding of software design principles and patterns

Additional Preferred Skills

Experience with Android animations, MotionLayout, Lottie, or Compose animations
Strong UI sense for building responsive and accessible interfaces
Knowledge of Kotlin Multiplatform is a plus
