Job Responsibilities
Branch Postmaster (BPM):
- Manage day-to-day postal operations of the Branch Post Office (BO) and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB).
- Promote and market postal products and services.
- Ensure smooth functioning of the Branch Post Office, including mail conveyance and delivery.
- May perform combined duties of ABPM when necessary.
Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM):
- Assist BPM in postal operations.
- Handle the sale of stamps/stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail, and transactions of IPPB.
- Engage in marketing and promotion of postal services.
- Perform additional duties assigned by superiors.
Dak Sevak:
- Perform tasks like the sale of stamps/stationery, delivery of mail, and handling transactions of IPPB.
- Work in sorting offices of Railway Mail Service (RMS) and mail offices.
- Assist Postmasters/Sub Postmasters in managing postal operations.
